Pastrami is a Romanian dish that was first brought to the US in New York, but being from California, we do things a little different.
In California we serve it as a all beef hogie with a splash of mustard, pickles and pepperoncini. It's the perfect mix, with flavors not over powering each other. All coming together to create a one of a kind flavor.
Pastrami is a smoked and cured deli meat made from the beef navel plate. It is seasoned with a flavorful spice mixture that typically includes garlic, coriander, black pepper, paprika, cloves, allspice, and mustard seed.
